Tornadic supercell over goldenrod, Crawford, Nebraska

By Martin Lisius

Putting stills into motion. This is a stitched photo from a batch of 300-plus images used to create just one shot for the world's first 16K video, "Prairie Wind." Shot using a carefully calibrated, custom made 2-camera DSLR shooting system. See "Prairie Wind," the short film from which this image came, at Notes: I stood on a hill covered with goldenrod, the state flower of Nebraska, as this tornado-warned storm approached. I departed just as it arrived.
