Sulphur Mine Worker
Ijen sulphur miners in East Java are doing one of the world's toughest jobs. They collect gold-like solid sulphur out from hot, toxic crater with hardly any protection. 3 times a day, they carry 2 baskets of sulphurs (40-80 kilos) on shoulder, trek over 10 kilometres steep volcano ridges till they arrive the foot, with very little pay (0.08USD/Kilo). When this miner was having a rest at halfway and noticed I took out my camera , his tired face turned into a big warm smile and deeply touched me.
